At San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, we are transforming lives through education by providing safe, equitable, innovative and inspiring learning environments for our nearly 400,000 students. We are incredibly proud to support and promote Learn with Me, a first-of-its-kind project incorporating television and digital learning.
Proficiency in reading by the third grade is shown to be one of the best predictors of both the likelihood to graduate from high school and economic success in adulthood. Learn with Me, a fun, interactive and bilingual scholastic experience, increases literacy access and equity for all children in San Bernardino County and beyond by encouraging the development of the whole child in age-appropriate and engaging ways.
Learn with Me is an incredible project that engages countless students in literacy. We are incredibly thankful for the partnerships with Footsteps2Brilliance and KVCR for allowing this project to come to life. By working together, we have created a program that makes watching television an active experience, allowing children to watch an animated adventure, read ebooks and play corresponding digital games that practice the concepts they learned in each episode.
It is our hope that resources such as this one, get our students excited about learning and ignite their passion for lifelong learning. That’s how we continue transforming lives through education.
